A look at the 6 a.m. positions brought good news to team Adria4ocean. Andraz seems to have overciome the misfortune at the start and is now in 6th position, 13 miles behind race leader Isabelle Joschke. Kristian is doing a little bit worse than yesterday, he is in 15th position with 18 miles to gain.
Just a short word on some comments that have arisen after yesterdays accident on the start. True that the press and spectator boats were completely missplaced and too near to the restricted area (if not inside it), but any speculation about this being a sabotage is groundless. Judging by the nationality is also out of place, there were foreign journalists and photographers on the bopat aswell and also Andraž was not the only one who had trouble with the press and spectator boats.
You can find fresh positions of the competitors on www.transat650.org (”classement” and “cartographie” on the right side of the site).

Of course, we have to forget any idea about a sabotage against Andraj ; i was the “pilot” of the Adria Team boat and we were close to this stupid accident.
I think The Press boat pilot never saw Andraj course or too late and he was not able to avoid the crash ; press guys allways ask to be closer closer closer to the show.
Anyway, i think Andraj could ask to protest comitee an “injured yacht” . (RD) At least 30 minutes were losted because this stupid collision . After Andraj checked the damages then sailed again with Spinaker, he was about 4-5 miles behind the first ( speed boat was about 9,5 knots ) . Thinking about this time losted, the stress he feeled then the time losted to repare damages ( i hope he could do that ) , Protest comitee has to give him some time at the Madeira stop.
Just my opinion.

Hi everybody and Guillaume specially.
Telling the truth I was the closest person to the to see the whole god dam… thing.
Just filmed from the boat Kristian’s rounding the buoy, then filming Peter and then when I turned with camera back … saw the end of Azo’s bowsprit trying to take my sculp off…
Yes, I was exactly on THIS boat.
It was definitely Press boat driver’s fault. He was all the time too close. I got on my camera how Sime is sailing above us between other Press boats. And after this I saw Kris - sailing exactly on colission (to us) course.
I shouted “watch the boat, watch the boat!” and the driver went up a little bit…
But not far enough…
Pity.
Greetings from Madeira,
Goly
