Jutranja slika pozicij je pokazala, da se je prva skupina razporedila bolj ali manj v Yvesovo šijo. Prva skupina je že v južnih pasatih, kar pomeni, da bo spremenljivost vetra tako po smeri kot tudi po hitrosti sedaj manjša. Po najnovejših izračunih ima sedaj Kristian do cilja še približno 6 dni. Njegov idealni kurz je okoli 210. V prvih dveh dneh bi moral biti njegov kot v veter okoli 90 stopinj, kar pomeni da bo vozil „laško orco“, potem pa se bo kot odpiral do 120 stopinj. Napovedane hitrosti vetra so zmerne, med 15 in 20  vozlov danes in jutri, potem pa morda za spoznanje več, kar pomeni, da v naslednjih dneh miniji ne čelu ne bodo podirali kakšnih hitrostnih rekordov, njihove hitrosti se bodo gibale okoli 7-8 vozlov. Dejstvo, da se je čelo minijev sedaj razporedilo v vlak ter da bo variabilnost vetra sedaj manjša, še ne pomeni, da morebitne spremembe v vrstnem redu niso mogoče. Sedaj bo šlo bolj za hitro jadranje kot za taktiko.

Andraž ima dejansko dobre možnosti, da se prebije v prvo deseterico tudi brez odbitka časa. Upajmo, da se bo v zadnjih dneh še „zbudil“ in pritisnil na plin do konca, če mu seveda to ne onemogoča kakšna poškodba, o kateri ugibamo v zadnjih dneh.

Nekaj več premikov je možnih še v ozadju, kjer nas predvsem veseli pogled na položaj Davida Križka, ki je 3. v razvrstitvi serijskih jadrnic, le 25 milj za vodilnim tem razredu. Tudi preostanek „Ruske mafije“ je odlično na poti, vsi med prvih 18., kar je zaenkrat več kot odlično, upajmo, da gredo od sedaj naprej res samo še navzgor.

The morning positions are showing that the leading group is more or less in Yves’ shadow. They have already reached the southern Trade winds, which means that the wind direction and speed will now be more stable. According to the latest data, Kristian’s ETA is 6 days from today. His ideal course is 210. In the next few days his angle of sailing will be 90 degrees (upwind) and than the angle will open to up to 120 degrees. The wind forecast is a moderate15-20 knots today and tomorrow and after that a little bit stronger, but that means there will be no speed records in these next days (sailing speed around 7-8 knots). The fact that the head of the group is now a chain, and that the wind will be more stable does not mean that there can’t be some minor changes regarding the positions. It’s now more up to speed of sailing than up to tactics. 

Andraž has some good chances of reaching the top ten even without the redress. Let’s hope he wakes up and pushes the pedal to the metal – if ofcourse he doesn’t have any technical difficulties which would prevent him to do so.

Changes are more than possible in the second part, where it is a delight to see David Krizek third in the series classification, only 25 miles behind no.1. The rest of the Russian mafia is also doing nice – all of them in the top 18, let’s hope it’s only upwards from here.
