Jure is back!
…and he’s better than before.

..and he’s better than before. I think this begging of yours is doing him a lot of good. Well, who wouldn’t be glad to see how irreplacable he is. Jure, even though your writing means a hell of a lot of translating for me, I think it is becoming more and more obvious that this website (aswell as the team Adria4ocean) is nothing without you
Thanks!
So here’s what he has to say:
First of all sorry for not writing anything the last few days, but I promise to keep you updated in the next days. I’m glad we have some expert opinions from abroad, Guillaume thanks for your coments and for your support to our guys!
Pot au Noire, Doldrums, Intertropical Convergence Zone, these are all the names for the area where NE trade winds from the northern hemisphere and the SE trade winds from the southern hempisphere meet. The air has no other choice but to rise and since the air is humid, ofcourse storms are a constant. Looking at the development of the weather in the Pot au Noir it almost seems as the whole area is oosing an unpredictable dynamics, this is due to an almost collision like meeting of both trade winds in some points and a vast area of calm at other points.
So what’s in the Pot au Noir today? The area where the head of the fleet is, there are going to be a lot of storms, but dissapearing towards the evening. During the day, the leaders will reach the SE trade winds. Since the head of the fleet is relatively close together we can safely assume that they will all (Kristian among them) reach the winds at approximately the same time, so prepare for cheerleading in the next few days. Again this is just an estimate – as we all know things can take a completely different turn in any given moment. Let’s see what happens and hope for an ounce of luck for team Adria4ocean – I think the guys deserve it after all the bad luck they had this year.
To sum things up: the leaders will reach the SE trade winds today which will force them in to beating upwind. This will most likely be the end of the Doldrums for them, minus a few possible storms. Tomorrow morning they can count on 20 knots of wind. Speaking from a sailors point of view this is the third and most difficult part of leg two. For the first time since La Rochelle they will do some heavy upwind sailing.

Jure thanks for comments.
I saw also Jure’s comment on official web site, but it is in french. Can somebody translate it?
If you noticed Adrien Hardy seems to have big problems, loosing his second position after at least one week, his current possition showing that he sails north.
Other positions seems same, but most of competitors lost a lot agains Le Blevec in last six hours.

OK fior a translation but what said Jure “in french” on the websiste is exactly what he say there in Slovenian or “in english”
the only difference is in the beginning of the article : ” the very respectable meteorologist Jure Jerman , routing the Slovenian duo make an analysis about race head : bla bla bla ”
Not much information about Adrien Hardy than on the english website except it is noticed his route is now 4° and of course , it’s not the right cape to go to Brazil… An assistance boat is required on his position and we will know soon what happen to him.
It’s a shame ; Adrien is a great guy but this is an opponent perhaps less for K and A . This is a race .
I wait for 8pm ranking .
